How to Dress for an Interview
You’ve worked hard, applied yourself and you finally have a job interview! Now, you need to make the best, first impression possible. But how? We have created the guide below to help you dress for success.

Additional Tips
Do your homework.
Research the company to get a feel for the culture or call HR and ask them about appropriate dress code.
Err on the side of overdressing.
If in doubt, always dress up one level. It leaves prospective employers with the impression that you care and are willing to go that extra step.
It’s in the details.
Comb and style your hair, press garments to remove wrinkles, make-up should be lightly applied, trim and clean nails, and avoid perfume, aftershave, or cologne.
Go neutral.
No matter what level of dress, in an interview setting neutral is preferred over loud and bright colors.
Cover it up.
Women’s attire should never show cleavage, midriff, or thigh. Tattoos and body piercings should be covered or removed until you get a feel for the employers stance on such things. Tattoos that can not be covered with clothing can be covered or diminished with a light layer of foundation.
Watch your body language.
Avoid crossing your arms as it gives the impression of being guarded. Sit up straight to show confidence. Make eye contact. Eye contact suggests openness and trustworthiness and shows engagement.
Put away the technology.
Lastly, put away the headphones, tablets, and phones. Make sure they are turned off or placed on silent mode. Give your potential employer your undivided attention.
